The Torah Portion for
Return
(Deuteronomy 30)
And it shall be when all these things have come upon you, the blessing and
the curse which I have put before you, that you shall turn your hearts to
them among all the nations into which the L-rd your G-d has banished you.
And you shall return to the L-d your G-d and heed His voice according to
all that I am commanding you this day, you and your children, with all your
heart and all your soul.
For then the L-rd will return with your captivity and have mercy on you.
He will return and gather you from all the nations into which the L-d your
G-d scattered you there. Though you will be banished to the ends of the
heaven, from there He will gather you, the L-rd your G-d, and from there He
will take hold of you. And the L-rd your G-d will circumcise your heart and
the heart of you seed to love the L-rd your G-d with all your heart and all
your soul, that you may live. And the L-rd your
G-d will put all these curses on your enemies and on the adversaries that
pursue you. And you shall return and heed the voice of the L-rd your G-d
and fulfill all the Commandments which I am commanding you today. And the
L-rd will make you abundant in all the labors of your hand, in the fruit of
your womb and the fruit of your cattle and the fruit of your land, for
benefit. For the L-rd will return to rejoice over you for good as he
rejoiced over your fathers. For if you heed the voice of the L-rd your G-d
to guard His commandments and His laws that are written in the book of His
Torah, then you will have returned to the L-rd
your G-d with all your heart and all your soul.
